Men's consumer title appoints editor

Alex Bilmes has been appointed as the new editor of Esquire. Bilmes joins Esquire from his current role as features director for British GQ. He is also a contributing editor to British Vogue and to GQ Style. He replaces former editor Jeremy Langmead, who left Esquire in September to start a new role as editor-in-chief of Mr Porter. Alex will commence his new role in the new year and contact details will be confirmed in due course.

Consumer title appoints new editor

Condé Nast today announced Kate Reardon as the new editor of Tatler. Kate will take up her role in January.

Kate Reardon joins Tatler from Vanity Fair where she has been a contributing editor for eleven years, as well as producing supplements for the British edition of the magazine. She was fashion director of Tatler in the nineties, and began her career on American Vogue. She has been a columnist for The Times and the Daily Mail and has published two books. In addition, Kate has created the successful women’s community website TopTips.com. Kate succeeds Catherine Ostler who has stepped down from the company, and leaves at the end of the year.
