Menswear designer Brian Clarke debuts in the UK with launch party tomorrow

British luxury menswear designer Brian Clarke will debut in the UK with the launch of his SS12 collection and opening of his brand new flagship store off Marylebone High Street tomorrow evening from 6pm (see DIARY dates). The SS12 collection takes inspiration from the attire worn by nineteenth century young academics, with an example of this being the Regatta blazer that is available as both single and double breasted. Other pieces from the collection include the fitted blue and white collar and cuff shirt with bib front and tan leather brogues with off-centre lacing and perforated finish. Footwear, ties and belts have also been added to its offering and SS12 will also see the designer produce a range of eveningwear that offers a modern twist to classic shapes.

Brian Clarke came from a tailoring background, working under Katherine Hamnett as an assistant designer. After his experience with Katherine Hamnett, he decided to create his own line and sources all his materials in Scotland and Italy.
