Jimmy Choo announce collaboration with
contemporary artist Rob Pruitt

Jimmy Choo has collaborated with contemporary artist Rob Pruitt on a range for its Cruise 2013 Collection. The designs will include shoes, handbags, and small leather goods all referencing the artist's style. Pruitt emerged on the New York art scene in the late 1980s' and he has produced work featuring glittering panda bear paintings, sculptural blue jeans and a silvered Andy Warhol monument. Jimmy Choo's partnership with Rob Pruitt follows previous collaborations with artists such as Nan Goldin for the Cruise 12 Icons Collection, and Marilyn Minter for the Cruise 11.

Creative Directors Sandra Choi and Simon Holloway commented: ‘We were captivated by Pruitt’s energy, his computer screen use of colour and the festive exuberance of his prints and materials; there were elements in his work that reminded us in subtle ways of the Jimmy Choo design iconography. We sensed that Rob’s twist on Jimmy Choo glamour would yield something very collectible and uniquely beautiful.’
