Chloé announces anniversary exhibition & reissues of classic designs

Chloé. Attitudes is a new exhibition, taking place from 29 September to 18 November (see DIARY dates), which celebrates the Maison’s 60-year contribution to fashion. The show will feature signature pieces from each of Chloé’s nine key designers – from the Maison’s founder Gaby Aghion, to its present creative director Clare Waight Keller. Many of the designs are on display to the public for the first time. The exhibition is curated and designed by Judith Clark and staged in the newly refurbished galleries of Le Palais de Tokyo. The Chloé exhibition is presented as part of the autumn 2012 season of the Palais de Tokyo “imagine the imaginary” which explores the artist’s creative process from thought to creation.

To mark the 60th anniversary celebrations, Chloé is reissuing 16 of the archive’s most iconic pieces. Both present in the exhibition and available in Chloé boutiques from February 2013, the édition Anniversaire includes items such as Karl Lagerfeld’s Violin Dress of SS83, Stella McCartney’s pineapple T-shirt of SS01, the Paddington Bag introduced by Phoebe Philo in SS05 and the cape and leather shorts by Hannah MacGibbon of AW09. Spanning from 1960 –2009, this anniversary collection incorporates seven accessory pieces and two limited editions of 60 copies.
