Little Mistress & Nick Ede to launch charity collaboration

The Stroke Association has teamed up with PR and style and brand expert Nick Ede and fashion label Little Mistress to launch a new charity initiative, Style for Stroke. This will see Nick turning last season’s ‘Little Black Dress’ into this season’s ‘Lovely Black Dress’ in an effort to raise money for the charity as well as raising awareness about stroke amongst the UK’s younger generations, helping to change the perception of stroke and do away with the myth that strokes only happen to old people. 22 year-old stroke survivor Becki Cobb, who will be helping to launch the dresses at an exclusive event on 2 October (see DIARY dates), commented: “I think its brilliant that Nick and Little Mistress are using fashion as a vehicle to raise awareness of stroke and I’m so excited to be a part of it. Until I had one, I thought strokes just happened to old people. Strokes can happen to anyone at any age. Like Jessie J, I was 18 when I had my stroke”. The ‘Lovely Black Dress’ collection will be available exclusively on the Little Mistress website with profits from sale of the dresses going to Stroke Association.
