ShortList to launch new digital brand in October

Shortlist Media, publisher of men’s lifestyle weekly magazine ShortList, has announced the upcoming launch of its new digital brand, Mr Hyde. This is the new digital daily for intelligent, career-focused men, created by a team of editors and journalists from ShortList. The service is building on the success of Emerald Street, the daily for stylish women that was launched in mid-2011 and has already gained more than 80,000 subscribers. Mr Hyde will be an e-mail edit of the latest in culture and entertainment, new bars and restaurants alongside style and grooming releases.

Phil Hilton, editorial director of Shortlist Media, says: “Tightened economic times have meant longer hours and fiercely competitive career paths. [Our readers] want targeted, informed recommendations that will enhance their all-too-brief windows of leisure. We aim to inspire, provoke, entertain and help these busy men maximise their free time.”

Mr Hyde will begin publishing daily e-mails to registered members in late-October, with pre-register opening via mrhyde.com this week. Mr Hyde's publisher is Olivia Smith, Tom Cullen is editor-in-chief, and Jonathan Pile has taken the role of editor. Additionally, Jamie Klingler has assumed the role of publishing manager.
