Walpole searches for 2013 British ‘Brands of Tomorrow’

Walpole, the not-for-profit organisation which represents the UK luxury industry and leading British luxury brands including Asprey, Burberry, Harrods, Fortnum & Mason and Jimmy Choo, is looking for upcoming British luxury brands to participate in its 2013 ‘Brands of Tomorrow’ mentorship programme, which is supported by the British law firm, Mischon de Reya. In order to be eligible for this programme, selected companies need to exemplify high standards of quality, style and craftsmanship and aspire to develop into full Walpole members.

Launched in 2007, the bespoke mentorship and coaching programme takes selected companies through quarterly educational workshops on areas such as business planning, marketing, distribution and internationalisation as well as matching them with a mentor from established British luxury brands. Mentors include John Ayton (programme chair) and Annoushka Ducas, co-Founders of jewellery brand Annoushka; Lucia Van Der Post; Liberty; Sarah Elton, Former MD Smythson; Martin Bartle, Managing Director of 270 Degree; and Jonathan Heilbron, CEO of Thomas Pink. Applications close on 25 February, with the criteria available via the website.
