Matches announces editorial appointments & rebrand

Matches has announced that all platforms of the business, including the 10 London stores and international website, will become MATCHESFASHION.COM to unify the brand. In addition, MATCHESFASHION.COM has appointed Kate Blythe, formerly editor at Net-A-Porter, as editorial and content director; Stuart Reed, formerly account director at Wednesday, as digital art director; Simon Chilvers, formerly assistant fashion editor at The Guardian, as men’s style director; Tilly Macalister-Smith, formerly fashion editor at Vogue.co.uk, as fashion features editor; and Chris Hobbs, previously at Attitude, as menswear senior writer/shopping editor. With a new-look weekly online magazine The Style Report, the online editorial content aims to replicate the in-store experience.

Tom and Ruth Chapman, joint CEOs of MATCHESFASHION.COM, commented: "We are now a global omni-channel retailer and in order to deliver the best luxury fashion experience possible we are aligning all of our platforms under one brand name, MATCHESFASHION.COM. We believe this creates a seamless experience at every touch point for our clients worldwide."
