Fashion graduate launches into M&S
& debuts own label

Emerging Scottish fashion designer Joanne McGillivray will be launching into M&S this week as her classic black dress design hits selected stores across the country this week, priced £39.50, as part of the Limited Collection range. Joanne’s dress design was selected after she was named Fashion Graduate of the Year at the Scottish Fashion Awards 2012, of which Marks & Spencer was a sponsor. Joanne also got to carry out a one-month work placement with the retailer’s design team in London. 24 year-old Joanne, who graduated from Heriot-Watt University’s School of Textiles & Design last year, is also launching her self-titled contemporary womenswear brand this Thursday (6 June).
