Cosmopolitan Beauty & Fragrance Awards winners 2013

The Cosmopolitan Beauty and Fragrance Awards took place this morning at the Haymarket Hotel. In total, its industry expert panel judged over 250 products of which 52 were awarded in the following categories: Lips, Eyes, Cleansing, Face, Skincare, Body, Hair, Tools, Self Tan & Sun Protection, Nails and Face. Addtionally, 15 products were granted the ‘Readers’ Kiss Of Approval’ by Cosmopolitan’s readers who voted for favourite products online. This year’s judges included the Cosmopolitan beauty editorial team as well as make-up artists Pixiwoo, fragrance expert Nick Gilbert, Terry Barber, Director of Make-up Artistry, EMEA and UK, MAC Cosmetics; hairdresser Jamie Stevens, and skincare expert Debbie Thomas.

Estée Lauder's Advanced Night Repair Synchronized Recovery Complex II was given The Beauty Classic Award, while Babyliss Pro Perfect Curl won the Beauty Breakthrough Award and Clinique Chubby Sticks won the Beauty Trend-Setter award. KIKO Make Up Milano received the Bloggers’ Award – Brand to Watch. Givenchy, Rimmel London, Revlon and MAC Cosmetics all picked up awards in the Lips category, while for Eyes, Maybelline, Eyeko, Origins, Smashbox and Benefit Cosmetics all picked up gongs. The Cleansing category included wins for Bioderma Sensibio H20 for Best Cleanser, Smashbox for Make-up Remover and Neutrogena for Best Face Exfoliator. In the Face category, Best Foundation went to Lancôme, while other winners were Estée Lauder, BareMinerals, Clinique, Chanel, Clarins and Rimmel London, who won two readers' awards on the night. The Skincare category, featured prizes for Garnier, who won best moisturiser, while Skinceuticals, L’Oréal Paris, YSL, Clarins, Vichy, Simple and Olay were also awarded. Brands including Nourish, Soap & Glory, Dior and Hotel Chocolat won within the Body category, while L’Oréal Professionnel, John Frieda, Tigi, Shu Uemura Art of Hair, Leonor Greyl, Kérastase, Aussie and L’Oréal Paris all won in the Hair category. Brands including Suqqu, Gillette and GHD were awarded in the Tools category, while for Self Tan & Sun Protection, La Roche-Posay, Nivea, Lancôme, Dior, Dove, Guerlain and St. Tropez were all recognised. Winning prizes in the Nails category were Essie, Nails Inc., OPI and Barry M, before best 'Fragrances' were awarded to Marni, L’Occitane, Valentino, Nicki Minaj, Marc Jacobs and Paco Rabanne.
