Diesel Black Gold names new Creative Director

Andreas Melbostad has now been named overall Creative Director for Diesel Black Gold. Andreas, previously in charge of womenswear, now adds to his current duties the responsibility of overseeing the men’s collection and the overall image of the label. His first AW14 menswear collection will be unveiled in January 2014. Before joining Diesel Black Gold, the Norwegian designer worked as Creative Director of Phi, and prior to that, he was senior designer at Donna Karan, Calvin Klein, Nina Ricci and he collaborated with Alber Elbaz both on the Guy Laroche and Yves Saint Laurent Rive Gauche collections.

Andreas commented: "I am looking forward to my expanded role at Diesel Black Gold. I am excited to have the opportunity to work on building cohesive collections for both men and women. It is an opportunity to create a singular vision for Diesel Black Gold and a strong distinct voice."
