Katie Rowland & Marwood win
CFE programme award

Centre for Fashion Enterprise (CFE) has named the winners of its Building Brand Equity (BBE) Programme. Ten finalists pitched their business plans to win one of two cash prizes of £10,000 and jewellery designer Katie Rowland was awarded the CFE Venrex Investment Readiness Award for showing the most potential for growth (pictured above), while British men’s accessories brand Marwood was awarded the CFE Pembroke Emerging Designer Award for best pitch. The programme identifies designers with the entrepreneurial and commercial potential to warrant such backing and stimulates their growth by facilitating vital first round investments. Originally piloted in 2012, this programme adds a fourth tier to the CFE’s business support portfolio, offering 360° business mentoring for start-ups through to businesses turning over £2 million.
