British brand Barbour appoints Exposure

British heritage and lifestyle brand Barbour has appointed Exposure to handle its PR. Exposure’s remit with Barbour will encompass PR and strategic consultancy for both Barbour and Barbour International. Barbour is a family-owned business, sold in over 40 countries worldwide including Germany, Spain, Scandinavia, the US and Japan. The brand offers a wardrobe of functional clothing for men, women and children, which includes knitwear, shirts, trousers, accessories and footwear alongside its outerwear. Barbour International, inspired by Barbour’s motorcycle heritage, is now also a stand-alone brand. For AW14, Barbour is collaborating with designer Christopher Ræburn on a womenswear collection inspired by Barbour’s military archives. Christopher Raeburn is renowned for his re-appropriation of military fabrics incorporating detail, form and function and in particular for iconic outerwear created from de-commissioned parachutes.
