Outdoor footwear brand Merrell appoints Brandnation

Brandnation has been appointed to handle the UK PR for outdoor footwear brand Merrell. The agency will be working to a wide ranging brief, encompassing both men's and women's categories, which will include trade and consumer media across product, ambassador and sponsorship event activation. Founded in 1981, the brand is renowned for its quality performance footwear and is wholly owned by Wolverine World Wide Inc. Brandnation will be underlining Merrell's outdoor heritage and expertise surrounding all of the brand's footwear and apparel categories - hike, trail, run, walk and lifestyle. In addition, Brandnation will look to capitalise media surrounding ‘The Pack’, Merrell's ambassadors, which includes fell runner, climber and mountaineer Jake Thompsett, ultra-runner, triathlete, and intrepid adventurer Faith Shorney and off-road long distance triathlete and adventure racer Sean MacFarlane. Sponsorships include the Man V Mountain event in September and the brand's association with National Parks.
