Telegraph Media Group announces
new editorial leadership team

Telegraph Media Group (TMG) has announced its senior editorial team across both print and digital. Chris Evans, editor (The Telegraph Monday-Friday) and Ian MacGregor, editor (The Telegraph Saturday and Sunday) are now formally confirmed as the editors of both the weekday and weekend newspapers. Kate Day, formerly social media and engagement editor who has been with The Telegraph since 2007, will become director of digital content. In her new role, Kate will be broadly responsible for digital content and lead a cluster of critical initiatives: Portal, Mobile/iPad, and Interactive. Ben Clissitt, who joined The Telegraph in 2010 from The Guardian, will become digital director, visual journalism, responsible for video, pictures and planning. Richard Ellis, who has led a number of initiatives during the transition period, will take over operations and budget across both print and digital, becoming director of editorial transformation & talent. Dan Hickey joins as general manager of lifestyle. Gregg Stewart will take on the new role as director of audience development, responsible for the acquisition, retention and growth of new audiences. Gregg and his team will work closely across all editorial departments, as well as with the commercial, product, marketing and technology departments. Gregg will be in charge of SEO, Social Media, Newsletters and Partnerships. TMG has also announce the appointment of three deputy dditors: Rob Winnett, Mark Skipworth and Liz Hunt.
