Google partners with Ray-Ban & Oakley
maker Luxottica to develop new eyewear

Italian eyewear designer Luxottica, the firm behind Ray-Ban and Oakley, has announced its partnership with Google Inc to develop a new eyewear range, Google Glass. Glass is a piece of wearable technology that features a screen above the eye, enabling the viewing of internet content, as well as a camera for hands-free pictures and video. The first collection will combine high-end technology with avant-garde design, offering the best in style, quality and performance. Additionally, Ray-Ban and Oakley, who has a 10-year heritage in wearable technology evolving from MP3 to HUD devices, will be a part of the collaboration with details to be confirmed.
