H&M collaborates with Jeff Koons
& announces New York flagship

High street fashion brand H&M has announced the launch of its largest flagship store in New York, partnering with the Whitney Museum of American Art and artist Jeff Koons. Opening on 17 July and located at 589 Fifth Avenue, the museum-inspired store will feature a limited edition Balloon Dog handbag designed by Jeff Koons, and will boast 57,000 sq ft across a five floor atrium with 26' x 20' LED screen. In addition to shopping the Jeff Koons for H&M collaboration, customers will be able to stock-up on all of H&M’s concepts. This will be the first store in the New York area to offer an H&M Home department in addition to collections for ladies, men, young ladies and young men, with separate “store within store” sections for accessories, and lingerie. This location will also feature the children’s collection. In celebration of opening day, H&M at 589 Fifth Avenue will offer the first 500 shoppers in line an H&M T-shirt and an Access to Fashion Pass, valued from $10 to $500. Jeff Koons: A Retrospective opens 27 June, running through 19 October at the Whitney Museum of American Art, located at 945 Madison Avenue at 75th street in Manhattan.
