Wired appoints Commercial Director

Nick Sargent has been appointed Commercial Director of culture and technology consumer title Wired. Nick is currently Head of Clients Sales UK and Energy Specialist EMEA for The Economist Group, having been promoted from International Account Manager of The Economist newspaper. Prior to this Nick was Brand Solutions Account Manager of Time Out, in addition to commercial roles with other print and digital launches and financial display sales teams including The Guardian and Observer. Nick Sargent will take up his new role in early February, succeeding Rupert Turnbull who has been Publisher of Wired since 2010. Nick will report to Albert Read, Deputy Managing Director of Condé Nast.
