Gareth Pugh announces 10th anniversary
London retrospective with Melissa

British fashion designer Gareth Pugh has announced its latest collaboration with footwear brand Melissa to celebrate their ongoing partnership and the 10th Anniversary of his eponymous label. In anticipation for his forthcoming London catwalk show the designer will art direct a retrospective of his designs featuring major archive looks at the Galeria Melissa London, the first installation in their gallery space. The designer will host a launch event on 10 February (see DIARY dates) for the exhibition which will remain in situ until the end of May 2015. The Galeria space will embrace the key visual codes of Gareth Pugh’s conceptual design in a start monochromatic setting. The exhibition will be built around six to eight prominent archive looks, each look styled with Melissa shoes. The still installation will be accompanied by exclusive footage: a graphic, monochromatic backdrop directed by filmmaker Ruth Hogben. One key archive look will be displayed in the foyer of the Galeria alongside previous Gareth Pugh x Melissa collaborative styles, including the iconic Melissa x Gareth Pugh Ascension heel.
