Côtes du Rhône Wines appoints Focus PR

Focus PR has been appointed to handle the UK trade and consumer PR for Côtes du Rhône Wines, the generic body behind one of France’s leading wine region. The campaign is composed of PR activities to make an impact and support the region’s positioning ‘Think Red, Think Côtes du Rhône’. It will boost consumer awareness while illustrating the vitality and dynamism of the region and support the growth of Côtes du Rhône wines in the UK market. The media relations-led campaign will include extensive trade and consumer press outreach accompanied by relevant seasonal sampling opportunities at key times of the year. The programme will also raise awareness of Côtes du Rhône Wines’ proposition at important industry events including Millésime Bio, Prowein and Vinexpo, where the region’s spokespeople will be available for interviews. The first activity to take place is an online, ambassador-led wine tasting on 16 February 2015. Following this, Côtes du Rhône Wines will sponsor Skin Côntact LIVE! on 9 March 2015 in aid of Comic Relief. The annual Trade Day will take place in early April, offering drinks trade media and specialist wine writers the chance to get an update on the performance of the region in the context of the UK market.
