CFE adds Nicomede Talavera to its
New Fashion Venture Programme

Today, the Centre for Fashion Enterprise (CFE) has announced menswear designer Nicomede Talavera as the most recent addition to its New Fashion Venture Programme, where he will receive industry expertise in areas ranging from range planning, branding and marketing, accounts, digital strategy, sales strategy and legal issues amongst others. The Venture Programme runs across two years (four seasons) and is tailored to each business focusing on the designer’s vision, ambition and operations. During this period the designers have regular face-to-face sessions with members of the CFE team, as well as industry experts who mentor them. Each label undergoes a full business review at the end of each season to ascertain progress and plan ahead. The Venture Programme provides monetary and digital subsidies to supported businesses going towards collection development, specialist business software, PR, accountancy and EU trademark registration in partnership with the legal experts Olswang, along with a free studio space at their Mare Street offices which gives the designer access to specialist sampling and production machinery. The current Venture Designers includes: Craig Green, Emma J Shipley, Phoebe English, Danielle Romeril, Rejina Pyo, Teatum Jones and Fyodor Golan.
