Regional daily newspaper Burton Mail relaunches

Regional daily newspaper Burton Mail has relaunched with a fresh, clean and more modern look. The new-look Burton Mail was launched with a bumper 96-page edition, which included a special 36-page supplement marking the promotion of Burton Albion to League One. A new style and layout also features in the paper, which has now risen in price by five pence to 55p, while extra sections have been added including a new 24-page 'It's the Weekend'' section, a business supplement, and an overall increased pagination across the week. The relaunch follows last year’s change of editor which saw deputy Emma Turton taking over from Kevin Booth following his move to the Leicester Mercury. The front page of the new-look paper saw the launch of a campaign aimed at providing living memorials to war heroes from Burton and the surrounding areas. The paper is encouraging its readers to contribute ‘intelligent’ user-generated content, to be run alongside more in-depth news stories from the paper’s small but dedicated team of journalists. Caroline Kay, commercial features writer, is the main point of contact for 'It’s The Weekend' section. She would like to receive press releases about fashion, beauty lifestyle, food & drink, health and fitness.
