Slendertone appoints CEO

Slendertone, a global brand specialising in the field of Electronic Muscle Stimulation (EMS) toning, has announced the appointment of Nick van Holstein as Chief Executive Officer. With strong performances in the UK and France, Nick will aim to take Slendertone’s business growth to the next level and build the brand portfolio worldwide. Nick is a global consumer goods business leader with extensive international experience in FMCG, personal care and cosmetics. Following an early career in marketing with organisations including Henkel and PepsiCo, Nick joined Kao Corporation, a Japanese consumer goods and beauty company whose portfolio includes John Frieda, Molton Brown and Jergens. In 2005, Nick was appointed Managing Director for Kao brands in the UK and ROI, managing the John Frieda business and integrating it into Kao’s portfolio. After leaving the Kao group, Nick held international leadership positions with Sara Lee, Svenska Cellulosa Aktiebolaget (SCA) and Revlon. Following its acquisition by Unilever, Nick joined SCA as Vice President for Europe’s personal care division. In 2013, Nick joined Revlon as Senior Vice President & Managing Director EMEA, where he had full strategic and profit and loss responsibility for Revlon’s business in Europe, Middle East and Africa. Most recently Nick started the consultancy company Grey Matter, advising companies in various consumer goods markets.
