Atkinsons of London adds to Legendary Collection

Fragrance house Atkinsons of London has announced the launch of three new fragrances to its Legendary Collection. Created in Atkinsons' inter-war years, the scents have now been reinvented. The Excelsior Bouquet, created by perfumer Benoist Lapouza, captures the exhilaration, the danger and the heroism of history's first-ever non-stop flight over the Atlantic in June 1919 and combines notes of grapefruit, flint accord, aldehydes, sage, nutmeg, Sichuan pepper, vetiver, tonka beans and leather accord; Love in Idleness, inspired by Shakespeare's love elixir and created by perfumer Fabrice Pellegrin, comprises top notes of raspberry and violet leaves, heart notes of violet flower, orris and heliotrope, and a base of tree moss and patchouli; and Amber Empire, which became one of the first oriental fragrances introduced to the Western world in 1927, and now contains notes of bergamot, oolong tea accord and chinese magnolia, along with sandalwood, myrrh, incense, vanilla and white musk. This fragrance was created by Maurice Roucel.
