KCD introducing Digital Fashion Shows next month

Fashion PR and production agency KCD is introducing Digital Fashion Shows, a new digital platform to launch during New York Fashion Week. Founded by KCD Digital and developed in partnership with New York digital agency King & Partners, this platform is an information delivery system that provides a new way - along with runway shows and presentations - to deliver fashion information to editors, journalists, and retail executives.

KCD Co-President Ed Filipowski says "The Digital Fashion Shows platform provides all the information and materials needed to review, cover and potentially buy the collection, just like a physical show, but each of the invited guests has a front row seat and behind the scenes access at their fingertips.”

Invited guests will log on to the website to watch a show that will begin at a specific time, just like a physical runway show. At the appointed hour, the pre-taped runway show will be viewable to whatever screen is most convenient - computer, iPad, or iPhone, making it possible to experience the collection‘s debut in any location. This platform is not available to the public as it has been designed by KCD to be a tool for invited press and buyers. Run of show information will appear with each look where users can select personal “favorites” or type notes about selections. Photographs can also be viewed of each look providing front, back and detail shots of shoes, jewellery and accessories. The first offering on the site will feature Prabal Gurung’s inaugural lCB collection for Onward Kashiyama, airing only online during New York Fashion Week on 15 February at 11.30am.
