ANDAM announces finalists for 2012 Fashion Award

ANDAM has announced the finalists for its 2012 Fashion Award. The competition was created to recognise and cultivate an up and coming fashion designer who is still in the development phase. Entrants can be of any nationality, but must have, or agree to set up, a company in France. After reviewing the applications received this year, the 24 members of the 2012 judges panel have selected the following six finalists of the ANDAM Fashion Award.
  • C├ędric Charlier
  • Julien David
  • Vika Gazinskaya
  • Calla Haynes Thomas
  • Tait Nicolas
  • Andreas Taralis
The judges will meet again on 5 July to select the winner. At that meeting, the finalists will be given the opportunity to present their project to the national commission. After deliberation, the winner of the €230,000 prize will be chosen by majority vote. In addition to the ANDAM fellowship, the 2012 winner will also receive: mentorship for two consecutive seasons by Pierre-Yves Roussel, CEO of the LVMH Group’s fashion division, who will advise the winner in his or her creative, corporate and commercial development; the support of Canada’s leading department store, which will buy the winning SS13 collection;  and a donation from Swarovski of €10,000 worth of crystals to be used in the creation of the winner’s SS13 collection.
