Sir Terence Conran & John Lewis among winners of
House Beautiful Awards

Last night saw the winners announced for the 9th annual House Beautiful Awards. Held at the Science Museum, the awards comprise 26 categories which recognise excellence from the year’s best home products and retailers. House Beautiful editor Julia Goodwin was joined by an expert panel of judges, including designers John Rocha, Jeff Banks, Sophie Conran, Oliver Heath, Nick Munro, David Domoney, presenter and DIY expert Tommy Walsh, cookery writer and presenter Mary Berry and winner of the BBC’s The Great British Bake Off 2010, Edd Kimber, to decide each category winner and runners up. Sir Terence Conran won the Editor’s Award for his Conran Collection for Marks & Spencer. There were also reader-voted categories with Dunelm Mill (Gold Award) and John Lewis (Silver Award) winning the Best Home Retailer. Best Online Retailer went to John Lewis (Gold) and ebay.com (Silver). The Favourite Home-Related Celebrity award went to Nick Knowles (Gold) and Alan Titchmarsh (Silver), while the ‘Designer of the Future’ award sponsored by Anglian Home Improvements went to Oliver Hrubiak.
