Gucci creates special edition
RHS Chelsea Flower Show collection

Italian fashion brand Gucci has announced its participation in the RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2014, creating a Flora Garden and launching two special edition Lady Lock bags. The Gucci Flora motif has become one of the most recognisable icons of the Italian brand, and Gucci will be bringing Flora to life, literally, in an innovative and contemporary way during the 'Fresh Garden' category at the show, taking place in London from 20-24 May. Flora’s composition of flowers, fruits and insects, drawn with naturalistic precision in thirty-seven colours, is dedicated to the four seasons. Award-winning garden designer Sarah Eberle will take the design as inspiration for the Gucci Flora Garden, which will be a horticultural realisation of the original illustration. To celebrate the Flora Garden, Gucci will introduce two exclusive Lady Lock handbags designed by Frida Giannini. The bags feature a bamboo top-handle with elongated lines and a luggage-style opening, with a placket that unlocks at the top of the bag. It will be available in sizes small and medium, in the Flora canvas, and available exclusively at Gucci’s Sloane Street boutique from May.
